Grated Quince Preserves

Description

In Romanian: Dulceata de gutui rase

Ingredients

• 2 lbs / 1 kg sugar
• ¾ qt / ¾ l water
• 2 large quinces

Directions

1. Peel and grate the quinces.
2. Place immediately in the sugar syrup.
3. Simmer until well thickened.
4. Remove the pan from heat and cover with a wet and squeezed cloth.
5. Place in jars when cold.
