In Romanian: Ciuperci cu gelatina si maioneza



  1. Wash and julienne the mushrooms.
  2. Place in a pot with a whole onion, one teaspoon of butter and salt.
  3. Cover with water and let boil until the mushrooms are soft.
  4. Remove the onion and strain.
  5. Leave the mushrooms aside and strain again through cheesecloth.
  6. Add gelatine to this liquid (one tablespoon of gelatine for each cup).
  7. Heat until the gelatine is melted.
  8. Place the mushrooms on the bottom of a deep plate (or several smaller molds).
  9. Pour the gelatin liquid on top.
  10. Strain when pouring.
  11. Refrigerate so that it gels.
  12. Serve with mayo.
