In Romanian: Compot de prune



  1. Set the water and sugar to boil.
  2. Peel the plums and dip in lemon juice.
  3. Place the plums in the syrup, add vanilla and a little lemon juice.
  4. Let boil for 5 – 6 minutes from the moment that the syrup comes to a boil, removing the foam as it forms.
  5. Serve cold.
